About Chlorotex Reagent 100ml

Chlorotex Reagent is a liquid test reagent for measuring free chlorine in water from 0.1 to 1.0 parts per million (ppm). It is used by mixing it with a water sample, which causes a color change that correlates to the chlorine concentration. The resulting color is then compared to a provided color chart to determine the free chlorine level. How it works:
  1. Sample Preparation: Take 50 ml of the water sample in a test jar.
  2. Add Reagent: Add 5 ml of Chlorotex Reagent to the water sample.
  3. Mix & Observe: Mix the contents and allow them to stand for one minute to observe the color change.
  4. Color-to-Concentration: Compare the observed color to the color chart provided with the reagent:
    • White Milky Fluorescent: Indicates no chlorine.
    • Light Pink: Indicates 0.1 ppm.
    • Medium Pink: Indicates 0.2 ppm.
    • Dark Pink: Indicates 0.5 ppm.
    • Light Blue: Indicates 0.6 ppm.
    • Medium Blue: Indicates 0.8 ppm.
    • Dark Blue: Indicates 1.0 ppm.
Applications:
  • Industrial Quality Control: For monitoring chlorine levels in water during industrial processes.
  • Research: Used in laboratory research settings.
  • Water Quality Monitoring: Suitable for applications like testing swimming pools, drinking water, and wastewater.
