About Digital Stem Thermometer

The Digital Stem Thermometer is capable of measuring temperatures ranging from -40 to 450F (-40 to 230C) and includes an easily accessible calibration screw for quick adjustments. The Digital Stem Thermometer is available with NIST certification
  • Stem/Probe: A durable, often stainless steel, metal rod that senses temperature, varying in length for deep immersion.
  • LCD Display: Shows digital temperature readings clearly, often with dual Celsius (C) and Fahrenheit (F) scales.
  • Control Buttons: Includes power (ON/OFF), scale selection (C/F), Data Hold, and Min/Max (for highest/lowest recorded temp).
  • Sensor: Uses a thermistat (resistor) that changes electrical resistance with temperature, allowing electronics to calculate precise values. 
How It Works (Basic Principle):
  1. The probe detects temperature changes, causing variations in electrical resistance.
  2. A microcontroller processes these resistance changes.
  3. It converts the data into a temperature reading and displays it on the LCD screen.
