About Fast Green FCF For Microscopy

Fast Green FCF is a triarylmethane dye that is used in microscopy for a variety of staining methods, including:
Connective tissue staining: Used in modified connective tissue staining according to van Gieson

Counterstaining: Used as a counterstain in trichrome staining according to Masson and in Papanicolaou's staining
Histochemical staining: Used in histochemical staining
Protein staining: Used in protein staining in IEF, native PAGE, and SDS-PAGE
Fast Green FCF is also used as a food coloring agent. Some of its properties include:
