QuickRxn XhoI (20U/mcl) 250 Units SRL About

QuickRxn XhoI is a restriction endonuclease (an enzyme that cuts DNA) sold by Sisco Research Laboratories (SRL). It's designed for rapid and efficient DNA digestion, capable of completing digestion in 15 minutes or less, and can also be used for overnight digestions without DNA degradation. The enzyme recognizes and cuts at the specific DNA sequence 5'-CTCGAG-3', producing "sticky" or cohesive ends. It's supplied as a liquid, is colorless and clear, and is supplied with a specific QuickRxn Buffer to ensure optimal activity. Key features and characteristics:
  • Recognition Sequence: 5'-CTCGAG-3' 
  • Cleavage: Cuts after the first C, creating sticky ends 
  • Speed: Rapid digestion (15 minutes or less) with the flexibility for overnight digestion without degradation 
  • Supplied with: QuickRxn Buffer to enhance enzyme activity 
  • Applications: Used for restriction digestion of genomic DNA, plasmid DNA, and PCR products. 
  • Origin: Purified from an E. coli strain carrying the XhoI gene from Xanthomonas holcicola. 
  • Inhibition: Not sensitive to dam and dcm methylation, but inhibited by CpG methylation. 
  • Inactivation: Can be inactivated by heat (80C for 20 minutes). 
  • Isoschizomer: An isoschizomer of PaeR7I. 
  • Activity: Can be impaired by CpG methylatio
