Yeast Glucose Chloramphenicol Agar isa nutrient medium that inhibits the growth of organisms other than yeasts and moulds. Chloramphenicol inhibits bacterial growth. After incubation at 25C, colonies are counted and yeast colonies are distinguished from moulds by colony morphology.
