How It Works
  1. 1. Preparation:The strip is placed on a bacterial culture grown on an appropriate agar medium, such as Mueller-Hinton Agar. 
  2. 2. Inoculum Preparation:Bacteria are suspended in a broth to achieve a turbidity equivalent to a 0.5 McFarland standard, and then spread on the agar plate. 
  3. 3. Incubation:The plate is incubated overnight to allow bacterial growth. 
  4. 4. Reading the Result:After incubation, the zone of inhibition around the strip is observed. The MIC is determined by finding the point on the strip where the zone of inhibition ends.
